Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer dreamed of all her life to become a multitasking superstar. In her youth she was a fan of a range of genres of music, but she particularly enjoyed Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and the bachata as well as mainstream music such as hip-hop, pop and R&B. Music was her passion, but she was equally intrigued by the movie industry. West Side Story (1961) was the Rita Moreno musical that inspired her the most and was her most significant influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer , as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years at Holy Family Catholic Middle School located in The Bronx. After a 4 year period in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. At school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in track and field and tennis. In the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her home for most of her life. Jennifer moved out of the house when she was 18 , and moved in with her parents. Lopez could work as a lawyer during this period while also engaging in dancing during the night.
